Sell aluminium pergola enclosures without an email back-and-forth

An aluminium pergola enclosure configurator closes individual sides with solid sliding panels. The buyer chooses which of the four sides to close, in which finish and with which equipment, and sees the result in 3D immediately. Sales receives a configuration stating exactly how many walls go where, instead of "I would like to close it in somehow".

Solid aluminium walls are the most closed option in the pergola enclosure family: they stop both the view and the wind, and are chosen where the pergola has to work as a separate room or as a screen from neighbours. The configurator handles what buyers most often get wrong with this type — which sides are being closed, how the panels slide and what that means for the structure.

Who this solution is for

  • Pergola manufacturers selling enclosures as a follow-up product for structures already installed.
  • Dealers who need to show the difference between a solid wall, glazing and louvres before the conversation turns to price.
  • Installation businesses that want the number of sides and the sliding direction settled before a site survey.
01

What buyers can configure

Side selection
Each of the four sides (front, back, left, right) is closed independently; a wall-mounted pergola drops the side against the facade.
Aluminium wall type
Double sliding aluminium panels, freely combined with a different infill on the neighbouring side.
Finish and colour
Frame and infill colour from the RAL set or a wood-look finish, plus a custom shade entered as RGB.
Per-side equipment
Heating assigned to a specific side, LED edge lighting and remote control.
02

What the engine validates

Post span
The structure adds posts so that no bay exceeds 5 m; a side longer than that span is divided automatically.
Wall mounting
On the wall-mounted variant the side against the facade is never offered as closable.
Model dimension limits
Width, projection and height are bounded by the selected pergola model rather than by a free slider.
03

What changes the price

Number of closed sides
Price grows per side; each added side means another set of panels, guide profiles and hardware.
Side length
A longer side needs more panels and more intermediate posts for the walls to anchor to.
Surface finish
Standard RAL shades, wood-look finishes and non-standard colours carry different production effort.
Equipment and services
Heating, lighting, remote control, delivery and installation are calculated from your own pricing rules.

What buyers and sales receive

For the buyer
A 3D view of the closed pergola, a summary of the chosen sides and a downloadable PDF quotation.
For sales
A configuration with model, dimensions, the list of closed sides and equipment, plus a link to exactly the same design.

What we need for implementation

Product data
We need the dimensional limits of your ranges, the available finishes and the rules for where a solid wall may be used.
Pricing rules
Pricing is wired to your price list — by side, length and equipment; you decide how much of it the buyer sees.
Enquiry delivery
The configuration is delivered by email or into CRM, including a link to the 3D design.

Frequently asked questions

Can just one side of the pergola be closed?+

Yes. Every side is set independently, so a buyer can close only the windward side or the one facing a neighbour and leave the rest open.

Can an aluminium wall be combined with glazing on another side?+

Yes. The infill type is a property of the side rather than of the whole pergola, so one build can carry a solid wall, glazing and louvres at the same time.

How is a very long side handled?+

The structure adds intermediate posts so that no bay exceeds five metres. The buyer does not have to think about the division but does see it in 3D.

Does the configurator calculate the enclosure price?+

The pergola branch carries no built-in price list — pricing is wired to your rules based on the number of sides, lengths and equipment. It can be shown to the buyer or kept for sales only.

What does the buyer receive after submitting?+

A configuration summary and a PDF of the design. The PDF is generated in the browser, so it is available immediately.
