What a configuration could hand over
ABRA Flexi has both a REST API and webhooks, so a configuration can become an issued quote with line items tied to your price list and stock records. Webhooks can report back when a document changes state; which states are watched is decided during implementation.
Address book
The customer could be looked up in the ABRA Flexi address book by company ID or email, and a new company would only be created when you do not have it yet.
Issued offers
The configuration can create a document in issued offers whose items point to cards in your price list, so your prices and VAT rates apply.
Received orders
Once the customer agrees, the same items could become a received order, ready for invoicing and stock issue.
Bill of materials
If you build the product from parts, the configurator's options could be mapped to bill of materials items, so the warehouse sees what will actually be used.
What we need to connect it
Your licence needs the API Access add-on; without it ABRA Flexi has not allowed REST API access since 2025.
For the connection you create a separate API user in ABRA Flexi, with a role limited to the records it needs and access to one accounting unit.
Login would run over HTTPS with HTTP authentication, or with the authSessionId token that ABRA Flexi returns after login.
We first test the transfer on a test accounting unit and agree together which price list cards, warehouses and numbering series are used.
Worth deciding up front
- Webhooks always report every change in the database and cannot be limited to one document, so filtering and protection against duplicate notifications sit on the configurator side.
- ABRA Flexi has a daily API call limit and may restrict access under a flood of parallel requests, so we would batch calls and prefer webhooks, which do not count toward the limit, over repeated polling.
- On a self-hosted installation webhooks have to be switched on in the server configuration; in ABRA's cloud the vendor has them on.
Questions about this connection
Will the configurator know when we turn an offer into an order?
It can, if that is agreed during implementation. A webhook would report the change and the configurator would read the document's status; we decide together which statuses to watch.
Do we have to buy another user for the integration?
Under current ABRA Flexi licensing the API Access add-on is enough, and it allows any number of API users. You would create one dedicated user for the configurator.
Will the offer use our price list or the configurator's price?
Both are possible. An item can point to a price list card and take its price, or carry the price the configurator computed; we choose based on where your pricing logic lives.
