What a configuration could hand over
At a manufacturer HELIOS is the source of truth and routing around it makes no sense. So the configurator sits in front of it: customers configure on the web, and only an approved configuration can enter HELIOS, in a structure your own team defines. How it is transferred is agreed with your HELIOS supplier.
Organisation
The customer could be matched to an organisation you already keep in HELIOS by company ID. A new organisation could be created by the configurator, or approved by your sales clerk first.
Offer or order
An approved configuration can become an offer or a received order, with items from your master cards and a price set by the rules in your HELIOS.
Job order
For made-to-order work, the dimensions, options and 3D preview link could be attached to the job order, so the production engineer does not have to look up what the customer saw.
Production basis
Where your installation allows it, the configuration could serve as the basis for a production order; issuing that order stays with your people.
What we need to connect it
First we establish which HELIOS you run, whether Easy, Inuvio or Nephrite, and which modules your installation uses.
We agree the transfer method with your HELIOS implementation partner, who knows your installation's customisations and the interface they would open for the connection.
We need a technical user with rights limited to the organisations, documents and job orders the connection uses.
We test on a copy of the database or a test installation, and agree the master card mapping together before go-live.
Worth deciding up front
- HELIOS installations are usually customised, so the same document can look different in two companies. We check the field scope on your installation, not against a general description.
- Decide whether the configurator should create the document or only prepare a basis that a clerk confirms in HELIOS. For made-to-order products the second route is usually safer.
- If an e-shop or EDI is already connected to HELIOS, the new connection should use the same code lists and master cards so documents are not duplicated.
Questions about this connection
Does our HELIOS supplier need to be involved?
Your supplier knows your installation's customisations and manages access, so we involve them in the design in almost every case. We deliver the configuration in the agreed structure and design with them how it gets written.
Will the configurator's price be binding in HELIOS too?
We recommend that the binding price comes from the rules in HELIOS. The configurator shows the customer an indicative price from your price list, and any difference would be visible before the document is confirmed.
Other integrations

Tell us what you sell and how an enquiry is handled today. On the demo you will see the configurator, and we will go through which data could flow from it into your system.
