Sell garden sheds from a 3D design instead of a price list in PDF
The garden shed configurator walks a buyer through wall thickness, footprint, roof and openings. Thickness comes first because it decides what the shed is for: 19 mm for tools and bikes, 28 mm for a shed somebody sits in. The footprint is chosen from a grid between 180 × 180 and 550 × 250 cm, because a log wall is built from stocked board lengths and cannot be stretched by a decimetre.
Who this solution is for
The same configurator solves three different problems depending on who opens it.
Instead of a price table
A shed seller who emails a PDF price list today and then explains by hand what each size means.
Manufacturers
A maker who builds from stocked lengths and needs buyers choosing from a grid, not from imagination.
Settled before the survey
An installer who wants the base, the anchoring and the wall thickness known before the site visit.
Frequently asked questions
Which wall thickness should the buyer choose?
The configurator asks what the shed is for and fills the thickness in itself: 19 mm for tools, bikes and firewood, 28 mm for a shed somebody sits in, 44 mm once it becomes a garden room. Each thickness is shown with what it is sold for, so nobody is picking a bare number. On your deployment we offer exactly the thicknesses you stock.
Why can the size not be set completely freely?
A log or post-and-plank wall is built from stocked board lengths, so the footprint comes from a grid that can really be built — 180 × 180 to 550 × 250 cm in the demo. A free dimension makes sense on a framed build-up, and there the configurator allows it. If you build on different lengths, we set the grid to yours.
What happens if a buyer picks a door taller than the wall?
The configurator never places an opening blindly. It moves, shrinks or drops it and writes into the summary what it did and why — a 2 m door simply needs a taller wall. The buyer never receives a design that production would have to redraw.
Is a permit needed for a garden shed?
In Slovakia a shed up to 50 m² and 5 m is a minor building that is notified; in Czechia a building up to 40 m² and 5 m needs no permit but must keep 2 m from the boundary and leave half the plot permeable. The configurator shows the note by language and the buyer can switch the country. It is orientation for a sales conversation, not a legal opinion.
How does our own price get into the configurator?
Pricing is wired to your list and to the rules you quote by — wall thickness, area, covering, openings, base and assembly. The public demo shows no figure, because the rates in it are not yours. On your deployment the buyer sees the amount your list produces and you see how it breaks down.
