Sell a steel garage in the module it is actually made in

A steel garage is not built to the millimetre but from sheet panels. The configurator therefore rounds every dimension onto a 480 mm module, so the buyer only ever sees a width that can be made. The wall is trapezoidal sheet from 0.3 to 0.5 mm, the door is usually a roller, and a steel floor frame with anchors is a normal part of the package here.

Who this solution is for

The same configurator solves three different problems depending on who opens it.

  • Made-to-measure sizes

A steel garage seller who keeps explaining why the size only moves in 48 cm steps.

  • Matching the shade

A maker who wants the enquiry to confirm the sheet colour, the door and the anchoring.

  • Parts breakdown

A company supplying the floor frame with the garage that needs it stated in the brief.

Frequently asked questions

Why does the size only move in 48 cm steps?

The walls are assembled from sheet panels 480 mm wide, so the garage can only grow by a whole panel. The configurator rounds every dimension to the nearest one that can be made and records the size it used. If your panels are a different width, the module is set to yours.

No insulation kit for a sheet wall appears anywhere in the surveyed market, so the configurator never offers insulation on this type. If the buyer needs a tempered space, they are pointed at a timber garage or a framed build-up. Against condensation the answer is vent grilles, which are a choice of their own.

The steel frame spreads the load and gives the anchors something to hold, so on a sheet building it is usually part of the package. The configurator offers it as an item so the enquiry shows whether the buyer ordered one. Without anchoring the garage is vulnerable to wind, and the summary says so.

The default is a roller door, which is what these garages are most often sold with, though sectional and side-hinged doors can be chosen instead. The width is 2.5 m for a single bay and 4.8 m for a double. The configurator shows the door in its opening with the roller box above it, so the buyer sees the space it takes.

The public demo shows no figure, because sheet pricing follows the gauge, the coating and your own buying terms. On deployment it is wired to your list, the door and the floor frame included. The buyer sees your amount and you see the items behind it.

Companies who open this type usually look at these as well.
