Show the buyer how the extension sits against their own wall
An extension is not a free-standing building pushed up to a house. One wall meets the house, so that side carries no roof overhang, the roof falls away from the house and the junction is closed with a flashing. The configurator stands the extension beside a house model, so the buyer sees at once how high it reaches at the wall, where the water goes and how far out it can grow.
Who this solution is for
The same configurator solves three different problems depending on who opens it.
Settled before the survey
A builder of extensions who needs the dimensions and the height at the wall before scheduling a survey.
Options side by side
A garden-building seller who wants to offer an extension as the alternative to a free-standing room.
Retrofit
An installer who has to know whether the extension ties into an existing foundation or gets its own.
Frequently asked questions
How does an extension differ from a free-standing garden room?
One wall meets the house, and that changes three things: no roof overhang on that side, a roof that falls away from the house and a junction that has to be flashed. The configurator applies all three the moment the buyer says the building stands against the house. Everything else — wall, insulation, openings, floor — is the same as a free-standing room.
Will the configurator show the extension on our own house?
In the demo the extension stands beside a simple house model, so the scale, the height at the wall and the fall of the roof can be judged. It is not a model of the buyer’s house and the configurator never claims to be. On deployment the house can be replaced with the type your customers most often own.
Does an extension need planning consent?
An extension to an existing house is judged more strictly than a free-standing shed, because it touches a building that is already there. The configurator shows the area and height thresholds for Slovakia and Czechia and the buyer can switch between them. The building authority confirms the route; the configurator does not replace it.
How far out from the house can it go?
Depth from the wall runs from 2 to 3.5 m by type in the demo, and freely in 10 cm steps on a framed wall. The deeper the extension, the lower the eave for a given pitch, and the configurator keeps showing the height at the wall. Your real spans replace these on deployment.
Does the demo show a price for an extension?
The public demo shows no figure, because an extension depends on how you detail the junction and on the base built next to the house. On deployment pricing is wired to your list, flashing and gutter included. The buyer sees the amount your rules produce and you see the breakdown.
